Using Putty, a SSH client for windows

Putty is a free SSH (Secure SHell) client for Windows. Its easy to use and quick to install.

To install:

1. Go to the download page (opens in a new window)
2. Click on the putty.exe link
3. Once Putty is downloaded, try it out
4. Under host name, type in your host name, probably <people.ku.edu>
5. Click the open button
6. Enter your username/password at the prompt, and you're in!
